Through intensive audible and visual observations in our own habitat, this project required us to build a journal by applying experimental typography and imagery as the design output.
This journal was about what I had seen, heard, and touched through observing the trees in Alamo Square Park, San Francisco. They were viewed as though they had their own thoughts and emotions, and consciously communicated with others in their own language.
I converted the photos to black and white, in order to set a tranquil mood and let the trees be viewed outside the context of “plants”. I used experimental typography and abstract elements to visualize the mysterious emotion that lies within the dialogues. The color pink was introduced to bring a warm touch to overall composition.
